Hi guys! My name is Courtney Federico (I’m the one in the pink in the photo on the left). I’m in my second year here at BU, and I’m a student in CAS. I’m studying International Relations; my regional track is the Middle East/ Africa and my functional track is Regional Politics and Cultural Anthropology. I LOVE my major and I LOVE my classes (nerdy? Maybe yes…)! I’m from Connecticut–not the polo-wearing country-club-member part, but the rural farm-land part.
Surprisingly enough, I have never camped before… But have no fear! I’m very excited to learn how and to share my first camping experience with my volunteers! I am SO looking forward to this trip for many reasons, including the fact that we’ll be in FLORIDA, we will be CAMPING, and we will be CLEANING UP THE ENVIRONMENT. That sounds like a recipe for the perfect spring break! Last year as a freshman, I went to San Francisco for ASB, and I had a blast. I hope our trip to HOBE SOUND tops that trip.
I can’t wait to meet you all, and I hope you enjoy the rest of our blog!
WASSSUP, my name is Jonathan Burns. I’m a sophomore in CAS, majoring in Economics and Philosophy-Political Science. I’m from Wisconsin…yes I am a Packers fan, and yes I do like cheese, and no I did not grow up on a farm.
I love camping, having fun, and doing service. I CAN’T WAIT for Hobe Sound this Spring!! Last year, as a volunteer, I went on the Cumberland Island, GA trip. Twas a great time. I am excited to be a coordinator this year and to have an unforgettable experience in Hobe Sound!
Basically, I’m just a semi-pro s’more making enthusiast, who is trying to make the world a better place.
